The Brookstreet Hotel was Ottawa's first new luxury hotel to be built in a decade. Located in Kanata, the high-tech headquarters for the city, the owners were looking for the highest standards of accommodation, including superior noise control from all sources. The design includes meeting and conference facilities and a grand, divisible ballroom, all of which were provided with high acoustic quality. To create a high quality environment in a hotel, sound isolation from suite to suite and from public to private spaces is essential, as is the control of mechanical noise throughout the property.
