Environmental
Kemptville WPCP
The Kemptville Water Pollution Control Plant recently underwent renovations and addition which included much more machinery, that in turn produces even more noise. SOTA conducted field tests of all existing equipment then modelled the predicted environmental noise to ensure the adjacent properties would not be bothered.
Morbern Inc.
Morbern Inc. is a decorative vinyl upholstery manufacturer in Cornwall, Ontario. Morbern needed an acoustic assessment report which SOTA provided in detail after completing field tests and modelling the impact on adjacent properties.
Terra Canada Hub
The National Capital Area campus for the NRC underwent thorough examination before its construction to ensure the exact placement was appropriate based on existing noise sources. State of the Art Acoustik conducted an extensive environmental noise study which reviewed three options for the development. The study considered a variety of sources such as mechanical units and traffic noise, to accurately represent the area.
Trinity Hills Calgary
Trinity Hills is a lovely community in southwest Calgary that has every amenity thanks to their new renovation. The buildings for these services will require additional mechanical units which will produce a lot of noise. SOTA provided an environmental noise assessment with effective mitigation measures for this urban village.
Days Road Sewage Pumping Station
Days Road Sewage Pump Station is the largest pumping facility in West Kingston. Such a large station includes many pumping and treatment machines that emit a lot of noise. SOTA went to the facility to conduct field tests, then evaluated the results before submitting an acoustic assessment report.
Hazeldean Pumping Station
The Hazeldean Wastewater Pumping is one of the largest in the Ottawa area, and as such all of the equipment required to process the wastewater creates a lot of noise. SOTA helped during the renovation of this station, to ensure that the machinery would be able to operate without producing excessive noise levels.
CMHC Building
The Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) updated their Ottawa office to improve the sound isolation and the AV system. State of the Art Acoustik provided all acoustic design such as interior acoustic considerations, vibration control, and mechanical noise reduction. SOTA also planned the AV system and coordinated the integration of the architectural and electrical networks.
City of Ottawa Noise By-Law
State of the Art Acoustik Inc. is a well-known acoustic consulting firm in Ottawa that has completed many projects for the Canadian government that is also based in Ottawa. Thanks to the amazing work done by SOTA the government recognised the acoustical expertise of such a firm and asked them to collaborate on the noise by-law in 2004.
